Period of opportunity

Student life and youth
Time and seasons. We progress through stages in our lives where each stage carries a unique perspective on life. Priorities shift. Dreams change. Hopes are altered. Our time of youth is a period in between finding oneself and knowing oneself. One is a time of turning over stones and discovering. Another a stage of already being molded in stone. During our youth, we have the foundations of who we are but at the same time, we are still easily molded in our characters. And this time is precious. Very precious.

Don't waste your youth. This is the season of opportunity, a period of dawning. You can give God your best. There could be a million and one things you could be doing with your life. You have it. Energy. Passion. Hopes. Dreams. It is with this premise that with so many choices to make and paths to take, that when you make a decision to give the prime stage of your life back to God, you truly know that you have given the best part of your lifetime for Him, the consecrated portion.
You are planted like a young growing shoot of bamboo. You stand tall yet bend effortlessly and not break in the midst of changing winds. You can hold your own ground yet are easily molded, adapting in the face of changing circumstances. And that above all things, even in your youth, you have chosen Him. A life that is committed into His hands, yes, the same one that was pierced for you and the same one that lifts you up when you fall. Let Him work in you, as you give your heart to serve Him.

When He sees us, He truly sees our hearts. And I can imagine a smile on our heavenly Father's face, delighting in the knowledge that His children whom He loves, is looking back unto Him and saying : 'Father, I love you. My life is in Your hands. Use me for Your purposes.'

Is it going to be easy? I think you know the answer. We struggle. We are sometimes divided in our hearts even after we make a decision for Him. We walk down the wrong paths at times. Carry the forbidden idol. Do the wrong things. But at the end turn, He is still there. Calling us back. Pushing us on. Challenging our hearts. You may feel tired and weary right now and you are wondering where you are going with the Lord. Yet, this does not change our destiny in Him. We have to learn to lift up our eyes to the heavens, to Him who is above all things, and see beyond what we see, beyond what we feel, until we have a quiet knowing in our spirit the promise in our lives that He will fulfill.

Entrust Him with who you are now. Love Him above all things. With all your heart, mind and soul.
